Ramadan Pide Recipe

Easy recipe for preparing Ramadan pide bread at home

  • 3,5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1,5 cup water
  • 1 packet dry or fresh yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp honey

For the bottom

  • 1 tbsp oat bran or flour

To spread on

  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • cup water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

To sprinkle on

  • 1 tbsp sesame
  • 1 tbsp black seed


  • Mix all ingredients for the dough.
  • Knead until the dough gets little sticky and well-mixed. Leave it in a closed container for 1-2 hours to ferment.
  • Take the fermented dough on the tray, spread the dough by hand with a little flour.
  • Sprinkle enough bran or flour so that it does not stick to the bottom of the dough.
  • Make grooves on the dough using your 4 fingers except your thumb.
  • Mix the ingredients to be applied on it thoroughly and apply it with a brush.
  • Finally, sprinkle sesame and black seeds on it, leave for another 10-15 minutes to ferment on the tray.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 200C (392F) for 20 minutes. After removing it, place it on the cooling rack or a cloth.
